It seems like everything keeps getting more expensive.Â
Food? Yep!
Rent? Yep.
Existing? You bet!
But don’t worry because I have the perfect solution.
This list of the 200+ best side hustle ideas to make extra money in 2025 will get you on the right track of creating diverse income streams.Â
All so you can finally stop worrying about choosing between buying food and paying down your credit card debt. Â
Each side hustle idea is split into categories based on how many hours per week it will take you to keep it running after you finish the initial setup and learn about each idea. The longer it takes you per week, the more income potential there is for you in the idea.
You should choose one or two to start and then once they’re running semi-passively, start another side hustle in your spare time.Â
Alright, enough build-up. Let’s get to it.Â
Best Side Hustles to Make Money in 1 to 2 Hours Per Week
1. Trade stocks: If you know how or can learn how to read stock charts and news, you could trade stocks through brokers like Fidelity, Robinhood, or Schwab. Some brokers have their own trading and charting software but I prefer TradingView to integrate with all my brokers.Â
2. Improve your credit score: A high credit score can get you tons of advantages like lower apartment and mortgage rates, cheaper rates on auto and personal loans, and can give you access to top rewards and perks from credit providers. You can start by paying off your debts like student and car loans and by paying the statement balance on your credit cards on time. Make this more of a side hustle by teaching others how to improve their credit score as well!

3. Rent out storage lockers: Everyone has belongings that just don’t fit in their house which is why storage lockers are quickly becoming the next best thing to rent after home rentals. Get started by finding local storage suppliers in your area and purchasing lockers from them so you can rent them out.Â
4. Trade cryptocurrency: Cryptocurrency trading can give you huge gains or huge losses with some coins pumping or dumping 10% or more in an hour. To minimize some risk, you could trade higher market cap tokens with lower leverage or even just buy spot coins if you expect the price to go up. I use BingX as a broker for the amount of coins and leverage choices but Binance, Bybit, and Kraken are all great options. I also use TradingView as a charting software since it offers the most integrations and indicators.Â
5. Pay off high interest debt: Lowering how much debt you have will help improve your credit score and will give you more money to start more side hustles. Start by tackling the highest interest debt or lowest balance debt first with any spare cash you have. After, you can make a choice between paying lower interest debt or putting your money to work in a High Yield Savings Account (HYSA) or in the markets.Â

6. Trade stock options: Stock options are offered in contracts where one contract is equal to 100 stock units. There are tons of strategies that you can look into while trading options however I prefer to either trade 0 or 1 days to expiry (DTE) for scalps or 30-45 DTE for swings. I use Fidelity as I find that they have the quickest order execution and TradingView for their charting abilities and integrations.Â
7. House hack your home: Rent out a spare room or your entire home on Airbnb, Vrbo, or Facebook marketplace or even to trusted friends and family to earn extra income. Take well-lit photos of the space for rent and then look at similar places in your area for pricing.Â
8. Use rewards and cashback apps: Ibotta, Nielsen Computer and Mobile panel, Google Opinion Rewards, and Swagbucks are all great apps to earn money in your free time. You can do surveys, play games, do small tasks, upload receipts, earn cashback for using offers from stores, and more.Â
9. Buy and Hold Cryptocurrency: Invest in cryptocurrencies and you can earn passive income through the currency rising in price and from staking rewards where your currency is locked for a period of time. Start by opening an account on Coinbase or your preferred brokerage and dollar cost average (invest in the same amounts on a schedule) in large cap coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and more.Â
10. Develop a tool to solve your pain point and sell it: Do you have something in your work or personal life that could be fixed with a simple tool? This could be your organization problem or your personal budget but odds are that someone else also has the same problem! Create a spreadsheet, small app, or website and sell it on sites like Gumroad for a small fee.
11. Trade futures: If you want to trade with more risk but also more reward, you could trade futures contracts for things like the S&P 500, the Nasdaq 100, gold, or oil. Many instruments also have micro contracts like MES and MNQ that allow you to trade at a small fraction of what the original contract is worth so you need less margin in your account to take trades. AMP Futures is currently my favorite broker for low fees, the most futures contracts, and integrations with my charting software, TradingView (shown below). Tradovate and NinjaTrader are also great futures brokers.Â
Check the right side of each chart in the before and after comparison below to see just one of my trades where I caught almost a $100 move on ES futures contracts, translating to thousands of dollars in one day!

12. Provide amenities for camper and RV travelers: Vanly is a service that allows you to list the amenities you can offer like wi-fi, large parking space, and shower hookups, and to make money by hosting camper and RV travelers that are traveling through your area.Â
13. Churn credit cards: Most credit cards offer bonuses when you hit a certain amount of spend within the first few months. You could get free money, points for hotels or flights, and other perks by signing up for cards and optionally cancelling them after using the points but before the annual fee rolls around again. Get started by checking out Reddit’s r/churning for the updated flowchart for picking your first card!
14. Rent out your car: Turo and Hyre are two of the many services that allow you to rent out your car to travelers. If you have a more expensive car then you can also command higher rates as people are usually willing to spend more if they’re on vacation. Before you get started, make sure to check with your insurance provider to ensure using these services doesn’t violate your policy.Â
15. Sell outdoor exploration games: QuestToApp is a service that lets you build a scavenger hunt or game in your city that’s filled with things to do, eat, and explore. Get paid up to 75% commission for each sale that your game generates!
16. Participate in research studies and focus groups: Respondent, PaidStudies, and UserInterviews all allow you to answer a set of questions about your work and personal life. They will then match you with focus groups and studies that pay sometimes hundreds of dollars to perform tasks each week of the study.Â
17. Trade forex pairs: If you’re already trading in other markets, forex (foreign exchange) is a great addition to your trading belt because it’s best traded on higher time frames due to how slow most pairs move so you can almost set it and forget it and focus on other markets. I use Oanda for the amount of forex pairs and for their integration with TradingView which I use for charting.Â
18. Rent your driveway or garage: If you have a free driveway or garage spot that’s close to a city center or to a transit line, you could be making money from your space each day. Check out services like Spacer or Neighbor or advertise on local groups to people who need to travel into the office each day. Make sure to check with your building management or city bylaw to ensure you’re not violating any policies.Â
19. Put ads on your website: If you have a website, depending on how many visitors you receive to your site, you could be making hundreds or even thousands per month from just ad views and clicks. Put ads in places where they don’t distract from the user experience since a lot of people will leave if they’re bombarded by popups and ads.Â
20. Tune pianos: Pianos typically need to be tuned twice a year but most people who own pianos (who also usually have tons of money) can’t be bothered to do it themselves. Check out this 5 minute Masterclass article, then advertise your services on local groups. Retain customers by scheduling their next tuning and working on other instruments they have as well. Â
21. Participate in cryptocurrency airdrops: New cryptocurrencies will often airdrop or grant free tokens to you to gain users and transactions on the new chain. You usually need to fulfill a few requirements such as inviting people to like the project’s social accounts and to transact a certain amount on chain. You can get started by following AirdropDetective on X (Twitter) and by reviewing this guide to making the most money from airdrops!
22. Do product reviews: Panels like I-Say, Toluna Influencers, Opinion Outpost, and Branded Surveys all offer product reviewing tasks where you get matched to products based on your demographics and then you create a product review after you receive the product. Most sites will pay you in either cashback or gift cards so get started by signing up for as many sites and tasks as you can.
23. Rent your place for events, meetings, and film shoots: Using a service like Peerspace, you can list your home or land that you have and get paid if a group decides to rent it for events, meetings, film shoots, and more.Â
24. Cut your bills down: Trim or Rocket allow you to import your financial accounts (and choose what to import from them) so they can analyze what recurring bills you have and they can even automatically cancel them for you. Think about if that Paramount+ subscription is really worth it or if you can save $100+ a year by cancelling it. The small things add up quickly! Make this a side hustle by recommending the services above to people looking to save money!

25. Earn cashback: Honey, Dosh, Rakuten, Receipt Hog, Ibotta, and Fetch Rewards are all apps or browser extensions that show you offers while you’re shopping and allow you to do other tasks like uploading receipts and answering surveys. When you redeem the offers and purchase products or services through their links, you’ll earn cashback or points for gift cards.Â
26. Do matched betting: You can start by signing up for sites like Ninjabet which has matched betting guides and direct links to tons of matched betting sites all in one place. You then sign up for the site and match the sign up bonus (usually around $100) in your initial deposit. Most betting sites will have a bet type where you can take a player prop (like number of rebounds in basketball) for two players and bet on the four-way under-over outcome so you guarantee yourself a profit. Â
For example:
- Player prop (that you’re betting on): Number of rebounds for two basketball players
- Deposit: $200 (your $100 and the $100 match from the site)
- Bet amount: you place $50 on each of the four outcomes (total of $200) for this bet (over and under the number of rebounds for two players)
You’re guaranteed to win at least 3X the bet amount ($50) which means you come out at least $50 ahead of your initial deposit (3 times $50 = $150) and you can withdraw this $50 to your bank account. Some sites will also send you requests to re-deposit funds with an additional sign up bonus where you can repeat the same steps. Sites also offer welcome bonuses, retention bonuses, and betting amount bonuses to get you to stay!
27. Run a newsletter referral business: Get started by thinking of a topic that people would like to hear more about, like the best day trading tips or best book writing tips. Then, you can set up a simple landing page using a service like Leadpages with a page title like “Get the best day trading tips delivered to your inbox daily” and with a sign-up box for people to put in their email.
Sign up for an email platform like MailerLite or Mailchimp (both of which also have landing page capabilities) and monetize your newsletter with Sparkloops. Then join groups and communities and after posting content in your newsletter niche in them, include links to your landing page for people to sign up!
28. Start a budget: A budget will give you an overview of how all your money is coming in and going out so that you can find opportunities to optimize how you spend and save. In 2023 alone, I saved over $4000 by cutting back miscellaneous purchases that I didn’t really need (and that I left lying around the house). With just 30 minutes a month, you can also do the same! Turn this into more of a side hustle by selling a budget template you make or by teaching people how to budget.Â

29. Do sports betting: You can make tons of money in sports betting if you have a good bankroll management system in place and you don’t make irrational bets. Many sports brokers offer sign-up bonuses like Prizepicks, Bovada, and more where they’ll match a certain amount of your initial deposit and they also offer recurring deposit bonuses. Remember to be responsible because this is gambling and to only bet what you can afford to lose!
30. Collect login bonuses from social casinos: Social casinos want you to play their games and interact with people on their platform everyday which is why they offer $1 or more each day for simply logging in. When you compound this with 10+ sites with about 5 minutes total work each day, you can make $10 per day or more!
Most of the sites will require you to play through your balance once in their games before you can redeem to your bank account. I usually end up with more than my balance by just setting the auto-spin on one of the popular slot games to a low value like $0.20 per spin. I personally make about $4000 every six months with this method through the below sites:Â
- Chumba Casino
- Global Poker
- High5 Casino
- Chanced
- Crown Coins Casino
- Fortune Coins
- Wow Vegas
- Sweepslots
- Modo
- Luckyland Slots
- Golden Hearts Games
- Luckybird
- Stake

Best Side Hustles to Make Money in 3 to 4 Hours Per Week
1. Run a high-ticket ecommerce store: Instead of focusing on low-ticket items that give you little profit margin for each sale, you could focus on high-ticket items (over $500) in a niche ecommerce store. Get started with finding a good niche from Google Shopping listings with products from suppliers that aren’t selling the products on their own site. Setup a demo Shopify store then reach out to suppliers via their website or from an affiliate network like ShareASale.Â
2. Offer email marketing automation services: So many small to medium sized businesses call it a day after setting up a newsletter in Mailchimp. If you’re willing to learn about email marketing automation, you can offer them a way to segment each of their audiences and to send the audiences targeted emails that are much more likely to get them to buy. Get started with Active Campaign’s Education Center then start contacting local businesses!Â

6. Offer bike repair services: Provide repair and maintenance services to cyclists in your local area. This works really well if you live in or close to a bike-friendly city. 8. Provide virtual event planning: Help plan and coordinate virtual events such as webinars, summits, or online conferences for businesses using a platform like HeySummit. You can charge by the hour or per project and even bill for recurring events. Virtual events are great because they come without the preparation of being in person to manage the event and you can reach many more people.Â
9. Provide resume writing services: Offer your services to individuals who need help creating a professional resume. You can charge per resume or per hour and offer extra services like creating CVs and documents tailored to a job position and updating LinkedIn and other social accounts.Â

13. Host a sports league: In most cities, anyone can setup a sports league and charge fees to the teams after consulting with park and field management companies and the city bylaws. To get started, ask people in local groups or people you know to join. Organize team information in a Google sheet then work on a simple website that allows people to login and see schedules, standings, and more.Â
14. Do surveys, quizzes, and more: Sites like Swagbucks, InboxDollars, Survey Junkie, Opinion Outpost, Mypoints, and many others give you points for completing surveys, quizzes, small tasks, and more. The points can be converted to cash or gift cards on most sites. Sign up today to the ones that interest you and watch the rewards grow!

16. Sell AI-generated images on stock photo sites: Sites like ArcAngel, Trevillion, Shutterstock, Pond5, and Motion Array all allow you to upload images for sale to your artist profile. 17. Manage websites for businesses: Many business owners are not technical and they just need a website that does its job – to bring in customers. Start by using their current web hosting provider and then offer to switch them to a provider like Siteground (which I use and love!). Start by reaching out to local businesses who have an active Google listing and an existing site that is not done by a web design agency.Â
18. Create and sell teaching plans and resources for teachers: Teaching is one of the most underpaid and overworked professions. To help ease the load, sites like TeachersPayTeachers allow you to sell teachers resources like coloring books, templates, and more. Get started by reviewing the best sellers and creating and listing similar products.Â
19. Refurbish and sell personal electronics: Facebook Marketplace and other local groups are goldmines for finding people who have extra devices they don’t use anymore. Some of them may be cracked or have minor scratches and dents however these can be fairly easily fixed up and resold in the same local groups or on eBay. I’ve found local student buy/sell groups to be the best way to find newer devices that can still be resold but that students are selling because they upgrade them quickly.Â

If you’re into the more risky part of side hustles, an OnlyFans account could be perfect to earn some cash.
23. Create and sell digital products: You can design digital products like printables, templates, or e-books and sell them on Etsy or Gumroad. You can charge per project or per hour and offer discounts for bundling more of your services. Make sure you get a good microphone that captures the crispness of your vocals.Â
26. Make themed Instagram accounts: If you have hobbies like being outdoors, volunteering at the local pet shelter, or playing instruments, consider creating a themed Instagram account. Build up your audience by keeping your posts consistent and interesting and reach out to similar creators for permission to re-post their content with a tag back to their account. After a certain number of followers, brands will start to notice and they may ask for paid promotions on your page. Â

The National Notary Association shows you how to become a mobile notary along with the exam, business, and supply prep. You can also take it a step further by referring mortgage brokers clients for a commission and by becoming a Notary Signing Agent (NSA) where you can notarize mortgages for title companies.Â

30. Be an online juror: Many people find going to jury duty in person to be like eating glass – super painful. Luckily sites like Online Verdict and eJury allow you to become a juror from the comfort of your home! Get started by signing up today, filling in your demographics, and waiting to get matched. Â
31. Answer specialized questions for people: If you’re an expert in your field, check out Just Answer where you can make $7000 or more per month just from answering questions. 34. Sell Private Label Rights (PLR) content: PLR content can be anything from how-to guides to Adobe Premiere effects. You can assign different licenses to the content such as Private Label (can only use for your own business) and Master Private Label (can sell as your own without changes). Selling your own PLR content as part of a recurring membership is a great way to get started or join a PLR membership site like iDPLR and sell the content on your social accounts or website.Â
35. Get paid to lose weight: HealthyWage and Sweatcoin both allow you to get paid by committing to fitness goals each week. This is an easy way to make money in your spare time but watch out because if you struggle to get to the gym, you could be paying others instead! 37. Make brand sponsored posts: IZEA, Activate, Find your influence, and Acorn influence are all services that pair influencers on social media with brands looking to promote their products. 38. Teach online cooking classes: If you’re particularly good with cooking at home and you feel you could teach others to make different dishes, you should consider online cooking classes. Get started by looking for opportunities on your local stadium’s website.Â
42. Make and sell prints: If you have an eye for design, you could make money by designing wallpaper, fabric, and home decor item prints in Canva or Figma and uploading them to Spoonflower. When someone buys the wallpaper with your design on it, you make a commission!

11. Tutor others in a subject you know about: If you’re knowledgeable about a particular subject and think you could teach it, offer your services as a tutor. Websites like Wyzant and Tutor can help you find students or you can post in local school groups. While I was at university as a computer science major, I tutored nursing students in the R programming language (which I learned from a course on Udemy) and Python because they had to use it for one of their courses. I ended up making money for rent and groceries and I also made a few friends along the way!

Do high-ticket remote sales: If you know about sales, persuasion, and buyer psychology or you’re willing to learn about those topics, tons of companies that sell high-ticket (more than $500) courses, software, and more are always hiring. If you get hired with a good company, the leads are typically warm and more willing to listen to how your product or service will help them which means you can make more commissions.Â
51. Make and sell 3D-printed items: You can get a quality 3D printer like the Ender or Neptune 3 Pro for less than $250. You can then purchase the materials and setup your own Shopify or Etsy store to sell your work. Some ideas you could make are custom chess pieces, firearm accessories (check your local laws), video game characters for desks, and holders for video game controllers.Â

52. Do security guard shifts for office and apartment buildings: Most companies will require you to complete a short security guard course before you can work as a security guard. Once you know how to handle escalations and various situations, try applying at office and apartment buildings near you. There are usually more night shifts open which are quieter and you can do other side hustles on your down time too.Â
53. Become a mortgage broker: In most areas, becoming a certified mortgage broker is relatively cheap and some brokerages will even cover the certification cost. Depending on your area, you could make thousands of dollars by going through the mortgage process with homebuyers or even just referring people to lenders. Take it a step further by also becoming a certified real estate agent so you can double dip for commissions from sales.Â
54. Deliver packages using Amazon Flex: Amazon Flex allows you to earn money to deliver packages from Amazon depots to customers. You can typically earn more in holiday seasons and in densely populated areas or more rural areas where delivery trucks won’t travel often. You can get started by signing up, reserving blocks of time for deliveries, then planning your routes and earning money! Â
55. Do In-Home and Remote Tech Support: HelloTech is just one site that pairs technical people with companies that need in-home technical support for their products involving installation and setup. You’ll receive more shift offers if you have both technical and customer service experience but even a few shifts a month can add up quickly!Â
56. Become a mom-for-hire: If you’re active in your community and know of moms that need help with things like school meetings, bake sales, arts and crafts projects, science fair projects, and Halloween costumes, you could offer your services to help out. Moms love to show off work so people can think they did it so you could also offer white label photos that they can use to post to their social accounts. The moms who need these projects will also give you tons of referrals if you do a great job.Â

57. Setup a break room business: Smashing objects with sledgehammers is one of the best ways to relieve stress and it’s not something that you can easily do at home. You could setup a break room business where each room has objects like tables, doors, small cars, and more. Pair this idea with setting up escape rooms and offering small snacks and drinks to really get the money rolling in!
58. Clean RVs, large trailers, and boats: You can usually find these vehicles in similar places such as near docks, rest stops, and tourist areas. They’re usually dirty as people travel in them and don’t often get them washed. If you’re near one of these areas, you could buy a portable pressure washer, set it on low pressure and get to washing, for a fee of course. Â
59. Do inventory work for car dealerships: You could work for a car dealership near you in the evenings or nights doing inventory work like verifying stock, making listings in local groups and on the dealership’s website, and even finding deals from private sellers. Call the dealerships in your area to see if there are opportunities available!Â
60. Build PCs: If you like working with your hands, you could learn how to build custom PCs for people and businesses. You can work up to handling all parts of the process such as consulting, ordering parts, assembling, upgrading parts, repairs, and more. Youtube channels like Linus Tech Tips show you how all the PC parts work together. Then, you could build your own PC, start a portfolio, and post in local groups for customers!
61. Get your life insurance license: In most states, getting your life insurance license takes about 20 hours in a self-paced course. Then you can either work with local brokers who provide you leads, you can purchase leads from a third-party, or you can create lead generation opportunities for yourself through social media and your own website.
You get residual income from the sales you make so long as the insurance is paid so by the second year you will have income streams from the year prior as well. Get started by researching your state’s requirements, using one of the lead generation methods above, and working those leads!
62. Do product demos at supermarkets: You may be super grateful when you’re hungry in Wal-Mart and you see someone handing out food samples. They’re likely also grateful because they’re making sometimes $20/hour or more! Stores like Costco, Sam’s Club, Whole Foods, and Kroger all hire for product demonstrators and they usually provide paid training too. You’ll also get knowledge of different recipes, in-store discounts, and free samples! Get started by talking to your local bulk or chain grocery store staff today.
63. Advertise junk hauling services: If you have or can get an SUV with a trailer hitch, a trailer off a local marketplace, a dolly, a handtruck, straps, and gloves, you’ll be well on your way to hauling junk for people! You could also offer to do other home services like cleaning trash bins and gutters too.
Make sure you have a pricing list based on the size of your trailer, you do gift cards for referrals, and have a Google Business profile with cards with your QR code on them linking back to your profile. Pass them out to everyone you see! Get started by setting up an LLC and advertising your services on Thumbtack and Nextdoor.Â

64. Deliver for local breweries and liquor stores: If you live in a populated area, you could get a cargo bike with a motor and a cooler and ask local breweries and liquor stores if they need delivery people (which they almost always do). It works out better for them to pay you $20/hour or more instead of partnering with a food delivery service and you can also sometimes get to recycle their cans and bottles for the return fee. They’ll also often offer perks like free drinks, exclusive new offers, and even free food.Â
65. Become a trucker: If you’re looking to travel, to get amazing pay, and to meet people all across the country, you could get your CDL (which is usually paid for by the company) and become a trucker. You could specialize in oil and gas tankers, livestock, ice road trucking, and farm or aircraft materials. Eventually you can also buy your own chassis and trailer which means you’ll be paid more and you’ll have a lot more flexibility for work but you’ll have to pay for repairs and maintenance. Get started by applying to your local trucking company and see what they can offer you! Some companies allow you to work part time on the weekends and to stay within your state/area as well.Â
66. Create a coupon code site: Coupon sites make money by referring people looking for a product to the brand’s or an authorized retailer’s website. You could setup a coupon site on WordPress using themes and plugins that load everything into your website. You will need to start with more niche products and work on your website’s Search Engine Optimization (SEO) through things like backlink building and blogging but soon enough you’ll grow and you’ll see passive profit coming through from your referrals.Â
67. Advertise painting services: Slapping a coat of paint on something always makes it look a bit newer. Schools, churches, office buildings, and new homeowners could be some of your potential customers if you start a portfolio and build a name for yourself in your community. If you don’t know anything about painting, get started by watching any of the tons of Youtube videos and tutorials available and then ask your neighbors if they have a painting project that you could work on. Build up a portfolio then start posting in local groups!
68. Braid and weave hair extensions: If you know how to create braids and weaves, you could consider advertising your services in local groups for people to get their hair done. Once you create a portfolio of your work, you could rake in $50 per hour or more!
